Amer Fort, Jaipur - Spend holidays in Rajasthan, India

READ HERE ABOUT THE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE OF THE FAMOUS FORT OF JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN — THE AMER FORT OR AMBER FORT.

Amer Fort, Jaipur - Early morning view from the main road in front of the palace.
Fellow readers, I recently travelled the giant representation of beauty, heritage and Rajasthani history, the Amer Fort or the Amber Fort. This fort is built on the city outskirts of Jaipur and is located in town Amer, spread in around 4 square kilometres. Built on a tough mountainous height, this magnificent palace is surrounded by high walls giant gates that have been safeguarding it for centuries.

Usually, tourists visit this palace with the assistance of guides and sometimes miss some of the must watch attractions. Remember that while roaming around the palace do not forget to get your photograph clicked at the popular area “SHEESH MAHAL”. It is something more than awesome, wow, incredible etc.

Sun rising from makes the veranda and balcony of Amer Palace look more breathtaking.
The veranda right after the palace ticket entry provides exemplary view of the Aravalli mountain range and lets you feel the ‘height’ of lavishness and the Rajwada pride.

After entry in morning at 8:00 am, enjoy here the traditional nagada & trumpet Rajputana music.
Moreover, you should certainly not miss two things when in the Amer fort i.e. the elephant safari and the traditional trumpet & nagada music performance by the palace musicians early in the morning at around 8:00 am.

Shila Devi Amer - Get blessed while touring the Amer Fort.
The GODDESS SHILA DEVI TEMPLE” is another major attraction here that has been blessing the entire city, Jaipur since the fort was built.

What further adds beauty to your albums are the photographs clicked in the “TUNNEL” that passes from Amer fort to Jaigarh fort.

I have also noticed that most of the tourists or those who often travel the Amer Fort are not even aware about the beautiful pond located right behind the fort. To reach there you will have to exit the fort and come on the main road right in front of the fort and step towards the Amer city area. Through the city area reach right behind the Amer fort and you will then come across a beautiful temple and a pond where you can sit comfortably and experience the serenity staring at the giant fort from the rear.

Panoramic view from top of the Amer Fort.
The tourism department of Rajasthan has also recently initiated night tourism in Amer fort therefore you can also experience the beauty of this palace with colourful lights in nighttime.

Sun rays early in the morning makes this palace look as glittering as gold.
I personally suggest you to visit the palace early in the morning at around 7 or 8 am as the direct sunlight coming towards the palace incredibly enhances its beauty and makes it much more appealing than it actually is.

Myself enjoying the feel of this glorious palace.
In the end, thank you so much to all the readers and I hope that this review of Amer/Amber Fort will help you in some or the other way to explore it, to feel it and travel it in the best way. "Keep reading us, Keep following us and Keep Travelling"

Few More Images -
